HANDMADE BY HEATHENS
Handmade by Heathens is a co-op of Pagan artisans in the San Diego CA area. We got tired of mass produced "ritual" items so we started to make our own for our own use. Friends and family soon took notice and we started getting special orders. It's grown from there by leaps and bounds and now we are offering it on our websites. These brews and oils offered our shops are a joint project with Christine Rogers from "Studio Regency" and Karina Young from "The Well and Spindle." Christine is a certified herbalist, and between us we have many years of study into the Old Ways. Bringing the ways of our ancestors into our everyday lives and into our magic is important to us. We only use organic products and craft all of our items with attention to detail and care. We know that you will be able to tell the handmade difference too and that you will agree with us that there's no magic in mass produced!
The every magical goody you find here except for commercial altar supplies have been lovingly handcrafted with intent and purpose. I make these items for many reasons, one of which is for those like myself who are disenchanted with the mass produced magical items found in most Occult and Metaphysical shops.
There is more magic in handmade!
All herbs are either grown in my own garden (like my smudge sticks when I make them), are bought from organic providers or wild harvested by outside sources. I keep all my herbs in tightly lidded glass jars that I keep in a large dark wooden chest. All of my finished products are kept in a dark cabinet as well to preserve and protect them.
